2026 Soane Honors Gala Celebrates Thom Browne and the Baltimore Museum of Art

Annual gala celebrating excellence in architecture, design, and the arts to take place October 26 at The Metropolitan Club of New York

NEW YORK, NY — The Sir John Soane’s Museum Foundation is pleased to announce the 2026 Soane Honors, its annual gala celebrating exceptional achievement in architecture, design, and the arts. The event will take place on Monday, October 26, 2026, at The Metropolitan Club of New York, bringing together leaders from the worlds of architecture, fashion, museums, design, collecting, and philanthropy.

The Foundation will honor Thom Browne, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Thom Browne, in recognition of his transformative contributions to contemporary fashion and design, and the Baltimore Museum of Art, one of America’s most distinguished cultural institutions, in recognition of its excellence in exhibitions, collections stewardship, and public engagement.

Each year, the Soane Honors celebrates individuals and institutions whose work embodies the inventive spirit of Sir John Soane—defined by originality, intellectual rigor, innovation, and a commitment to cultural advancement.

Thom Browne’s architecturally informed approach to silhouette, proportion, craftsmanship, and theatrical presentation has fundamentally reshaped contemporary fashion. His work bridges fashion, architecture, art, and performance, creating a distinctive visual language recognized around the world.

The Baltimore Museum of Art, housed in a landmark building designed by acclaimed American architect John Russell Pope, is internationally recognized for its exceptional collections, groundbreaking exhibitions, and leadership in museum stewardship. Anchored by the renowned Cone Collection, the museum continues to serve as a model for artistic excellence and civic engagement.

The Soane Honors has become one of New York City’s most distinguished cultural events of the fall season, convening an influential international community of architects, designers, museum leaders, collectors, philanthropists, cultural patrons, and business executives united by a shared commitment to artistic excellence, architectural innovation, and cultural stewardship. Celebrated for its exceptional honorees and distinguished audience, the Foundation’s annual gala serves as a singular gathering at the intersection of design, fashion, art, architecture, and philanthropy.

Proceeds from the evening support the Sir John Soane’s Museum Foundation’s educational and cultural initiatives on behalf of Sir John Soane’s Museum in London, helping to sustain and advance a wide range of fellowships, lectures, exhibitions, preservation projects, scholarly research, and public programs. Through these efforts, the Foundation ensures that Sir John Soane’s extraordinary legacy of creativity, scholarship, and innovation continues to inspire future generations around the world.
